Strategic Planning for Churches:
The Essential Guide
for Church Leaders
by William J. Cook, Jr., Ph.D.
and E. Lindsey Gunn, Ph.D.
This book is predicated on the Scriptural view that the local church (congregation) is the strategic formation of Christ’s church–the frontline–and, through the power of the Holy Spirit,
is fully capable of both offensive and defensive warfare. All that is needed is an understanding of sound theory and effective practice of strategy, and the faith to realize limitless possibilities. This book contains the theory and practice.
Church leaders must provide the faith.

Unencorporating Education
by William J. Cook, Jr., Ph.D.
The nation’s fundamental institutions, by intent or by default, have abandoned the historical Western idea of education and thus have opened the door for a hostile takeover by corporate America. The result is an educational system, if it may be so called, that has been robbed of its essential human nature (educare) and turned into a rationalized process designed to produce profitable workers, according to industry specifications. The individual is diminished to servitude; true democracy rendered impossible.
There is no correcting the existing system. It cannot be reformed, reinvented, restructured, or salvaged. It must be utterly destroyed and new systems of learning and teaching created—systems worthy of human beings. The suggestions offered here are an attempt to begin the action.

Euangelion: The Good Tidings
of Jesus Christ
by William J. Cook, Jr., Ph.D.
This may seem a small matter, but the word "gospel" does not convey the meaning of Euangelion. Much is lost in translation. With the loss of meaning there is the greater loss of God's blessing. This book contends that only the words of Jesus are Euangelion. Careful analysis reveals seven categories of Truth. Further examination discovers three assurances of a new reality only to be found in Him. That divine reality is made practical through the blessing of four moral imperatives unique to the teachings of Jesus.

Toward a Shared Culture of Faith through Education
by Ladona K. Clayton, Ed.D.
Contrary to popular theories, society does not create culture; rather, culture creates the society. Culture is nothing less than the various expressions of the common values – art, music, architecture, language, philosophy, religion, government, education – these are the distinctive features of a society. Chief among these is education for the simple reason that it defines and perpetuates all the other features.
Simply stated, no society can survive without a system of learning and teaching that is based on a shared culture with moral imperatives. Historically and fundamentally, our American society has been the practical expression of Judeo-Christian values. And, historically and fundamentally, these values have been preserved through the nation’s schools. That is, until the latter half of the 20th century. The progressive abandonment of these values has led to dire consequences in all aspects of society.
This book makes a compelling case for the restoration of our shared culture of faith through education. The “why,” “what,” and “how” are presented here in what is currently the most thoroughly researched and most convincingly argued treatment of this critical subject.

Leaders vs. Leadership
by William J. Cook, Jr., Ph.D.
All of the current theories about "leadership" are actually about management. Neither has anything to do with leaders or leading. This monograph debunks those theories and then discusses the attributes, and the power, of real leaders.
